Microsoft’s discless Xbox Series X goes on sale today, and while it looks slightly different on the outside thanks to a white paint job and lack of a disc drive, inside it has been redesigned. Microsoft has redesigned the motherboard on the white Xbox Series X and new 2TB models, shrunk the chip down to 6nm, and switched to a new cooling solution.
YouTuber Austin Evans spotted the changes in a teardown of the new models, and reports that the shrunken chip allows the new Xbox Series X models to run around 10 watts less than the original model at idle.
